Friction by Jamie Magee!
Romeo and Juliet had it easier. They came from warring families who clearly drew a line for them not to cross. It wasn’t the same with Easton and Georgia. They came from a town where family was precious and moments were cherished. Still, there were unspoken rules, such as not falling for your best friends kid sister—or testing troubled hearts.
The losses Easton and Georgia endured at a young age tossed them down separate paths, far from the sleepy town they both had roots within.
Now, broken roads and bad decisions were the demons in their pasts—choices that would either draw them together, or rip them apart when chance landed them face to face once more.
Friction is a companion novel to Impulsion. Both novels can be read as stand alones.
Jamie Magee kind of snuck up on me one day last fall when I stumbled upon Impulsion, the first novel in the Station 32 series. Ever since, I have been anxiously awaiting for more from this fantastically talented author. The heroes in this collection are guys you want to meet. They have solid beliefs and sturdy morals as well as deep respect for family and fierce loyalty to those they care about. Wyatt Doran holds a special place in my heart and now Easton Ballantine snuggled his way in too.
Georgia Armstrong has been crushing on Easton since she was old enough to like boys. As one of her older brother’s best friends, Easton spent enough time around her for true feelings to form. Georgia never believed in her wildest dreams that Easton returned her affections. Easton has attempted to bury his attraction for Memphis’s younger sister but one night he finally breaks down. They don’t take it too far but the sparks grow into wild flames instantly.
Years pass until Easton and Georgina cross paths again. So much has changed but their lingering feelings remain. Their lives haven’t been effortless but they remain genuine souls. Easton has new responsibilities and priorities so it isn’t just individual needs anymore. Georgina has been betrayed badly and her trust isn’t what it used to be. The forbidden aspect remains between them as well but even with everything stacked against them, these two can’t stay apart.
Georgina is somewhat of a free spirit and doesn’t want to be tied down. Easton is all about finding your roots and realizing what is truly important in life. I fell hard for this pair and appreciated each precious moment they spent together. Georgina and Easton compliment one another perfectly yet the hesitation remains. Together they can prove opposite personalities blend smoothly but the hurdles are huge to climb. This emotional and turbulent journey is beautiful to read. What has been created for this duo is sure to snatch your heart and leave you in a puddle of devotion.
My mind was already spinning and I was overwhelmed with love for these two, along with the endless supply of spectacular elements. I thought I had it all figured out but the author threw in one last huge twist to answer so many questions I didn’t even realize I had. This isn’t just a contemporary romance to soothe a simple craving. This book delivers a captivating adventure everyone will enjoy. Jamie Magee’s writing is glorious and easily steals me away from reality. Getting lost in her work is a divine intervention I want to experience again and again.

Don’t forget to buy Impulsion (Station 32 Book 1) by Jamie Magee!
I’m an obsessive daydreamer. Lover of loud alternative music. Addicted to Red Bull. I love to laugh until it hurts. Fall is my favorite season. Black is my favorite ‘shade.’ Strong believer in the saying: there is a reason for everything, therefore I search for ‘marked moments’ every moment of everyday…and I find them. Life is beautiful!
Jamie Magee has always believed that each of us have a defining gift that sets us apart from the rest of the world, she has always envied those who have known from their first breath what their gift was. Not knowing hers, she began a career in the fast paced world of business. Raising a young family, and competing to rise higher in that field would drive some to the point of insanity, but she always found a moment of escape in a passing daydream. Her imagination would take her to places she’d never been, introduce her to people she’s never known. Insight, her debuting novel, is a result of that powerful imagination. Today, she is grateful that not knowing what defined her, led her on a path of discovery that would always be a part of her.
