Eight weeks ago I signed a contract. One that seemed like a good idea at the time. A handsome bachelor, luxury accommodations, and a chance to win a prize my family desperately needed. There were some rules though. Lots of them actually. Follow the script, no dating, sex, or disclosing the terms of the deal. After my self-imposed moratorium on men the last year, it wouldn’t be hard to live up to my end of the bargain…so I thought. Until I realized the deal I’d made was with the devil…and I was in love with his dirty-talking brother.Vi Keeland has created another captivating novel that will snag your attention from the first page. Throb is sure to have you interested after reading the blurb because you aren’t quite sure what to expect. The plot is interesting and puts a new spin on an existing idea. I was pleasantly surprised and highly recommend this one to any romance lover. I loved everything about this author’s latest release!
“I tend to go after what I want until I win.”
Cooper is the extremely successful owner of Montgomery Productions. His professional life is booming but his personal life is somehow lacking. Cooper’s Hollywood exec status attracts the attention of more women than he could possibly want but none of them excite him. When Kate unexpectedly saunters into his life, Cooper suddenly has something to look forward to. Until he discovers why she was hanging around his brother’s studio…
“I can’t think of anyone else but you.”
Kate is a contestant on a reality show that is a cross between Survivor and The Bachelor. Sounds fun, right? Her reasons for joining the show are extremely genuine and selfless but everyone has to believe her intentions are to find true love. The crazy dynamic on set made me laugh a lot. Flynn is one lucky man to have all these beautiful women begging for his attention. Kate feels a real connection with Flynn and starts to believe this opportunity could lead to more than just the prize money… until she meets Cooper.
“You had me from the moment my eyes landed on you.”
As Kate and Cooper grow closer, it becomes more difficult for them to follow the rules of the game. They constantly push boundaries and risk getting caught but Kate’s dedication to winning keeps them in hiding. The fact that Kate is kind of leading a double life adds a fun layer of drama. Even though she is technically dating two guys, I wouldn’t consider this a love triangle. As the episodes continue to film, Cooper becomes more possessive and determined to make Kate his. He fills the alpha-male role of Vi Keeland’s heroes extremely well.
“I can’t watch another man put his lips on you.”
Throb is a hectic whirlwind filled to the brim with hilarious and entertaining excitement, similar to the best type of television program. I could easily picture each scene playing from the pages due to the vivid details this author consistently provides. I loved the concept behind this story and the effortless execution that brought it to life. Make sure to read this one and keep an eye out for Flynn’s book.
Cooper Montgomery just ruined me for all other men.

Every girl needs three things
1. A flutter in her belly when she meets him for the first time.
My lips brush the top of her hand lightly, my tongue sneaking out to fleetingly touch her skin. The brief contact stirs an ache inside me. This woman tugs at something—more than arousal—something that makes me want to slow down time just to spend a few more minutes standing here.
“Did you just…” she stammers a bit.
“Did I just what?”
She squints at me. “You know.”
“I felt your tongue on my hand. You…you licked me.”
I’d been dying to run my tongue along her neck all evening, although I hadn’t really meant to be so crude about it. It just sort of …happened. “I wouldn’t say licked, maybe just a little taste.”
“So you tasted me?”
My entire body suddenly has interest in this conversation. “I suppose I did. But it wasn’t nearly enough. That brings us back to my invitation for dinner. Tomorrow night?”
“The day after then?”
She laughs and shakes her head. The sound makes me smile.
“Good night, Cooper.” She pulls the driver’s side door shut and leaves me standing there…for a full five minutes after she’s gone.
Vi Keeland is a native New Yorker with three children that occupy most of her free time, which she complains about often, but wouldn’t change for the world. She is a bookworm and has been known to read her kindle at stop lights, while styling her hair, cleaning, walking, during sporting events, and frequently while pretending to work. She is a boring attorney by day, and an exciting smut author by night!
